There is nothing worse than finding yourself with a huge mess to clean up after putting off the tidying for several days and if you’re not careful, you can end up spending a number of mind numbing hours on the task. No one particularly enjoys the prospect of cleaning up, but there is no point in making it worse than it really needs to be. It is a good idea to keep on top of your cleaning and there are some simple steps you can take to do this.
Do Your Dishes
It is all too easy to finish your meal and put the dishes to the side for later but later turns into the next day and before you know it, you have a pile as high as your ceiling to deal with! It is far easier to just clean your dishes after your meal and it will only take a few minutes, rather than spending hours trying to scrape your way through the residue!
Turn up the Music
It’s amazing how much of a difference music can make when you’re cleaning up. It makes the task seem much less boring. Get your favourite tunes on, dance as you clean and the task will be over before you know it.
Split up the Schedule
Instead of wading your way through three hours of non-stop cleaning, try and break it up during the day to make it more manageable. For instance, do 6 30 minute cleaning sessions while you get on with other things, such as speaking to plumbers Derby about leakages needing attended to. You’ll probably find that you are more productive with these short bursts, than doing it all at the one time.
You may find it quite effective to take a strategic approach to your cleaning duties. Instead of doing bits of cleaning all over the place, start with one room and only make your way to the next when you are finished. If you need to dial the plumbers Derby to take care of any concerns, get this out of the way before you tackle your cleaning.
Wipe as you go
We all know how easy it is for the bathroom and kitchen to get in mess, so rather than waiting until you have an uphill struggle on your hands, take care of any cleaning as you go. If you wipe down as you go, you won’t need to spend a full day cleaning. I’m sure we could all agree that there are far better ways to spend your time!
One of the main causes of a build-up of mess are too many things and not enough space! The next time you are considering purchasing that lovely new dress, think about where it will go and if you really have the space. It is also a good idea to do a regular clear out of those items gathering dust. You never know, you might make some extra cash in the process.
